Bailiffs

We are looking for volunteer moot court oral argument bailiffs for Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21, 2026. Interested in being a bailiff at the 21st Annual National Child Welfare and Adoption Law Moot Court Competition? Register here. 

Bailiff Eligibility and Training

Individuals eligible to serve as bailiffs for the competition must be either law students or undergraduate students.

Prior experience as a bailiff or participation in moot court is not required. All necessary training materials will be provided in advance to ensure that volunteers are fully prepared to serve in this role.

Why should I volunteer?

Volunteering as a bailiff is an excellent opportunity to earn pro bono hours, network with fellow students and esteemed professionals in the legal field, and gain valuable exposure to the world of appellate advocacy in a professional courtroom setting.
