I attended the University of Pittsburgh with a major in Administration of Justice with a concentration in forensics and a minor in legal studies. I was a fellow last year and that gave me a good opportunity to see what moot court is like with not as much pressure. As a fellow, moot court helped me build my research skills and I’m hoping it will further those skills as well as build on my public speaking and writing skills.I’m most looking forward to building friendships with my teammates and competing. I was a fellow last year on one of the family law teams with Makenzie Shiller and Tori Sharlow. It was a great experience and I hope to emulate what they created for me as a fellow for my fellow. Outside of law school I enjoy Walking my dog, happy hours with my friends, and playing softball.

Associate Justice of Mock Trial Eric Kephas
Year & Program: 4L Part Time Student
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Ohio University, and Master's Degree in Strategic Communications from National University.
I began coaching High School Mock Trial in 2018 (go Burg!), so when I started law school I knew this was the one activity I really wanted to try. I love that Mock Trial is about more than just arguing the law -- it's also about making good strategic choices and presenting the facts in a way that tells a compelling story. Since it's frequently designed to replicate a jury trial, there's an element of theater to it, which allows room to make creative decisions about how you want to present your witnesses and your case.
This will be my third year on Capital Law's Mock Trial team. I have competed as both a prosecution and defense attorney at the Ohio Attorney General's Fall competition. Going forward, I'm excited to do whatever I can to help this program grow, and can't wait to see what our advocates can accomplish in the year to come.
