Capital University Law School's Moot Court is proud to present the
21st Annual National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare & Adoption Law
Welcome to the official registration page for the 21st Annual National Moot Court Competition in Child Welfare and Adoption Law, hosted by Capital University Law School.
We are thrilled to welcome law students from across the country to participate in this nationally recognized competition, which highlights the complex and evolving issues in child welfare and adoption law.
This years topic is marital status and adoption law: advocates will explore how marital status impacts the rights and opportunities of prospective adoptive parents!
This year’s competition will take place on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Registration is now closed.
We look forward to welcoming participating teams to Columbus and are excited to see the thoughtful advocacy they will bring to the bench. Additional competition details will be shared with registered teams as the event approaches.
If you have any questions about the competition, please contact us at moot@law.capital.edu.
We are thrilled to host this year’s competition and look forward to an engaging and competitive weekend in March.
